Also in the Joystiq article is the introduction of yet another portable and yet another “mini”, joined together in the Game Boy Micro. Nintendo say it’s designed for “image-conscious folks who love video games, the ones who want the look of their system to be as cool as the games they play on it”. The Micro is about the size of an iPod Mini, i.e. 4 inches wide by 2 inches tall, and 0.7 inches deep. It weighs a mere 2.8 ounces, and features a 2″ backlit LCD screen. The GameBoy Micro has a built in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and expected to offer a choice of many colors and designs. Nintendo also said the GameBoy Micro has the same processing power and plays the same games as the GameBoy Advance SP.
