Nintendo World
Well, I wanted to go there myself and experience it firsthand (with many photos) but since my hopes have been dashed I’ll just go which what my sources have to say. Yes, very recently was the grand opening of Nintendo’s brand new Nintendo World store, a place where you can go to play games, learn about the history of games, and I expect you can buy games there too. Me, I’m crazy for the one-of-a-kind things I’ve heard they’re showing off there, such as original Hanafuda cards and a prototype NES. I wonder if they have one of those Famicom/Super Famicom combination console-TV sets. I’d love to see one up close.
It’s kind of surprising that there’s nothing like this in Japan yet (you know, since Miyazaki has his own theme park, I suppose Nintendo could too) but luckily there’s a lot of Nintendo of Japan history to learn here, as well as all the up-and-coming news. No video game fan could possibly miss out on seeing this someday!
