Everywhere you turn, you’d see a Nintendo Wii (posters, newspapers, online ads, games for Wii, etc). It’s the ultimate gadget to have these days if you’re into video gaming. Now, Nintendo has been around for ages. In fact my very first video game console was a nintendo. And my fav. game? Mario Brothers, hands down!

But the Legend of Zelda came in close. I remember when I was on my console playing the elf princess as if it was yesterday. I never finished the game because my brother gave the game to his friend WHO in turn didn’t not return. *cries*

And for some reason, it never occured to me to buy a new one. I was young then, don’t ask. Anyway, the latest Zelda is an RPG as it always has been. You decide the character’s fate, who he fights and solve whatever that needs to be solved. The game was created by GameCube and you can see that they have adjusted the game to fit the Wii – it’s very apparent as you can feel GameCube in there. So what you’re playing is a port of the GameCube version of Twilight Princess that’s been retooled for the Wii. The biggest difference is of course the addition of the new motion-sensitive control scheme. Graphics is not as life like as you’d like since it’s a readaption from another console but really it’s not bad at all – a little blurry texture here and there but that’s just because it’s been retooled from Game Cube. After all, nothing fantasy is suppose to look real anyway a little bluriness adds a more mysterious effect anyhow.

Well, whatever it is. Zelda fan will be proud to know that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was rated with 5 stars on GameSpy. That’s like Excellent, ok? Excellent. But Game Cube’s version is coming out real soon. I guess we’ll see how it’s different (and it will be different in terms of manoevring).

If you have a Wii, do get yourself a copy of Zelda. It is the best game you’ll play this year!
